Covering the 3.5 GHz Drone Threat
Many commercial and industrial drones rely on 3400–3600 MHz for command, telemetry, and high-bandwidth video links. Low-power jammers simply cannot produce enough power density to break these robust signals. The 80W GaN Jamming Module solves this by delivering a full 80 watts of saturated RF output. When paired with even a moderate-gain directional antenna, it creates a denial zone strong enough to sever drone communications at operational range.
Instant Sweep Without External Sources
There is no need to source a separate DDS board, IQ modulator, or messy LO cabling. An integrated high-speed analog sweep source sits directly on the board, racing across the full 200-megahertz bandwidth the moment DC power is applied. The 80W GaN Jamming Module immediately produces a fast-moving interference curtain that denies frequency-hopping and fixed-channel protocols alike, making integration as simple as wiring power and control.
Absorptive VSWR Protection for Longevity
What sets this module apart is the built-in absorptive VSWR protection device. Instead of merely reflecting fault power back into the GaN transistor, it safely dissipates reflected energy when an antenna mismatch or open load occurs. This dramatically reduces stress on the final stage, giving the 80W GaN Jamming Module a longer service life in harsh field conditions where connector damage or antenna faults are real possibilities.
Clear Control and Instant LED Feedback
The enable logic remains straightforward: apply +5 V or float the control pin to transmit, ground it to shut down. Two onboard LEDs provide immediate status—green for DC power presence, red for an alarm triggered by over-temperature or high VSWR. If a fault persists, the output stage automatically folds back to safe levels, protecting the expensive GaN device without operator intervention.
Thermal Design for Sustained Sweeps
Measuring 168.5 × 84.5 × 23 mm and weighing 0.57 kg, the module uses its aluminum base plate as both structural mount and thermal spreader. Bolt it to a finned heatsink or a sealed enclosure wall, and the GaN junction stays within safe limits even during continuous swept operation. Efficiency of at least 35 percent keeps waste heat manageable across the -20 °C to +65 °C operating range.
Stackable for Multi-Band Platforms
The SMA female output connector keeps the footprint compact while safely handling 80 watts at VSWR below 2.0:1. Multiple 80W GaN Jamming Modules can be mounted side by side to cover 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz, or other threat bands in a single chassis. A simple 24–29 V DC supply and TTL control interface makes the module a drop-in RF block for any integrated counter-UAS system.
