Product Details
The 150W anti drone module is a GaN-based high-power RF jammer board built for counter-UAS operations in the 1400–1600MHz range. It delivers 150W of continuous output into a 50Ω SMA female port and keeps output VSWR at 2.0 or lower under normal antenna load. The board runs from a 24–29V DC bus and pulls up to 15A at full output. That is a serious power budget, so plan your supply and cabling accordingly.

150W Anti Drone Module GaN Power Stage
The final amplifier uses GaN-on-SiC technology. GaN handles higher drain voltages and runs at higher power density than older LDMOS parts. This lets the module produce 150W from a compact footprint without stacking multiple devices. Typical efficiency is at least 40%, but do not expect cool operation. At full power, the module dissipates close to 225W as heat. You need a metal baseplate, thermal compound, and forced air for continuous duty.
The covered band from 1400MHz to 1600MHz includes drone control uplinks, telemetry downlinks, and some video feeds. With 150W available at the connector, you can drive high-gain panel antennas or feed a larger PA stage. The module also includes built-in absorptive reflected power protection. This is a big deal at 150W. If the antenna disconnects or the VSWR spikes, the protection device absorbs the reflected energy and prevents the GaN transistor from failing.
Built-In Sweep Source and Reflected Power Protection
This 150W anti drone module does not need an external signal generator for basic jamming tasks. The internal high-speed sweep source covers the full 1400–1600MHz band and feeds the PA directly. The analog modulation port is still available for custom noise or tone injection. The built-in absorptive VSWR protection is integrated before the SMA output. It clamps reflected power and keeps the output stage alive even during antenna faults.
The combination of a GaN final stage and built-in protection makes this module suitable for mobile and fixed counter-drone systems. You can rack-mount it, put it in a vehicle, or integrate it into a portable RF case. Just remember the 15A current draw. Use short, heavy-gauge DC leads and a supply that can deliver at least 18A for margin.
Control, Status LEDs, and System Integration
Enable logic is the same simple scheme found on smaller modules. Apply +5V or leave the control pin floating to turn RF on. Ground the pin to shut it off. Three LEDs show power switch, overvoltage, and overtemperature. At this power level, the overtemperature LED is the one to watch. If the module gets too hot, it will not necessarily shut down on its own. The LED tells you to reduce duty cycle or improve cooling before the GaN device degrades.
The 150W anti drone module measures 168.5×84.5×23mm and weighs 0.55kg. That is larger than low-power boards but still manageable. The aluminum base spreads heat across the mounting surface. Use thermal paste and bolt the module to a finned heatsink or liquid-cooled plate. For bench testing, keep runs short and monitor the case temperature.
Compliance and Authorized Use
A 150W jammer is not a toy. Before deploying this 150W anti drone module, confirm that your application is legal in your country. RF jamming is heavily regulated. The FCC provides jammer enforcement information that outlines prohibited use in the United States. Authorized defense integrators and government users should still follow export and spectrum rules. For matching antennas, filters, and control backplanes, see our counter-UAS RF modules page.
At full output, this module can interfere with licensed services if used improperly. Always operate inside a shielded enclosure or far-field test range. Use directional antennas with proper isolation and monitor your own spectrum. The built-in reflected power protection helps keep the module alive, but it does not replace good RF hygiene.
